Licensed Operators
License to operate the Award in India
The Award Programme Foundation (APF), a Registered Charitable Trust, with the Charity Commissioner in Mumbai, and is licensed to run The International Award for Young People (IAYP) in India by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation based in London.
The Award Programme is available to young people in the ages 14 to 25, and the YES Centre License is mandatory for the Operating Award Authority/ School/ Unit. The participant registration fee for each level of the Award from YES Centres has been revised for Bronze & Silver Level to Rs 1000/- (Rs. One thousand only) & Gold Level Rs.1500 (Rs.One thousand five hundred only) for Offline and Online Record Book Participants. The registration fee for Open Award Centre Participants is Rs. 1,500 (Rs. One Thousand five hundred only). Licensee fees for YES Centre is 12,500, for corporate partners & multi-unit Foundations is 40,000 and for Trained Activity Providers (such as adventure and skill operator) is 28,500.

The National Licensed Operator (NLO) can alone operate the Award Programme. The NLO is also referred to as the YES (Youth Engaging Society) Centre, is issued to any long standing school, college, society or a registered body keen to operate the Award Programme. The YES Centre partners with the NAA office and helps deliver The Award Programme to participants and young people in the community.
All Schools, Colleges, Award Units and Operators in India must have a valid License to operate The International Award Programme. Please check your records and ensure that you have a renewed/ current License to operate The Award Programme. The NAA Office is committed to assisting you and ensuring that young people in India get the best possible support while they participate in The Award Programme.
The NAA mandates that all Award Units and Licensed Operators use the Common Award Participation form. The Form has a unique number and is tracked by us. The Forms are supplied free and are to be filled and submitted to NAA India office for the Database Registry, as per the IAA License needs. From April 1, 2021, the participant registration fee for each level of the Award from YES Centres has been revised to Bronze & Silver Level Rs. 1000/- (Rs. Indian Special Projects
More than 3000 young people have participated in the Indian Special Projects programme on an equal footing. The programme is extremely popular with young people of both sexes and at times it is difficult to cope with their enthusiasm to join the Award Programme in all its activities. With fresh investments and partnerships with business, to build momentum and make the Award all inclusive, helping equip for life young people from all walks of life. We welcome volunteers, Gold Holders and organizations to work with us, we offer training and resources from the Indian Special Projects funds.
