Concept and ScopeThe Award Concept is one of individual challenge. It presents to young people, from 14 to 25 years of age, a balanced, non-competitive programme of voluntary activities that encourage personal discovery and growth, self-reliance, perseverance, responsibility to themselves and voluntary service to their community.
Features of the Award
- The focus is on personal challenge to try harder, to reach out to new horizons
- Based on personal choice, initiative and perseverance: cannot be achieved in a shorter time span by working more intensively, participants must persist for at least the minimum periods
- Not a competition against others
- Success is through personal progress and development, persistence and commitment
- The Award Programme are a means for the process of personal and social development
- Award requirements needs to be completed before the 25th birthday

Residential Project (Gold Level) - assess interpersonal skills and leadership, helps to broaden experience through involvement with others in a residential setting, encourages participants to

- Work towards a shared goal

- 5 consecutive days and 4 nights
The International Award in Business is specifically for employees.
The Programme develops essential skills for the workplace such us confidence, improved communication, leadership, resilience and team working. existing training and development programmes including apprenticeships, a level, graduate or other schemes.
The Award in Business can also link and enhance Corporate Responsibility agendas by promoting volunteering, involvement in the community, a better understanding of the environment and a healthier and fitter workforce.
